Welcome to the N.B.F.I. , the home of Irish Natural Bodybuilding. Established in 2012 to promote and improve the sport of Natural Bodybuilding in Ireland , the N.B.F.I has now become one of the leading Federations in Ireland and continues to improve year on year
2017 proved to be a massive year with a new venue, new classes and record entries. The overall winners on the day were Stephanie Murray (Trained Figure), Ross McCandless (Men’s Physique) and Finbarr Murphy (Mens Open Bodybuilding).
We sent Ross McCandless & Shane McDonald to the UK to compete in the UKDFBA Internationals, Ross finished 4th in a massive line up of Men’s Physiques competitors & Shane just missed out on a top 6 finish in the Over 80kg class. They should be very proud of their achievements.
Next up was the WNBF worlds in Boston were Stephaine Murray, Darren o’ Leary and Finbarr Murphy competed. Stephine won both her classes and the overall and is now a WNBF Pro. Darren finished 4th is a very competitive class and Finbarr won his class. He narrowly missed out on winning the overall. The class win entitled him to a Pro card which he deservedly accepted.
To finish the year with 2 new WNBF Pro’s is nothing short of amazing. Well done guys.
Preparations are now under way for 2018. After much demand we have added a Bikini class to the line up . It is important that you are familiar with the rules/ criteria for the division in which you plan to compete so please read the competitor rules 2018
The question now is who is ready to take to the stage in 2018 and fight for their right to be crowned the NBFI 2018 national champion and represent the NBFI on the International and World stage.
